10 Things I learned about the Middle Ages

1.  I learned that the lords had more power then the kings

2.  That hot water or hot oil was poured onto the army when above the entrance into the castle

3.  That Eleanor of  Aquitaine married tow kings.

4.  The Middle ages lasted from the 11th century to the late 15th century.

5.  The Keep was where the king and queen lived in.

6.  That knights rode on horses into battle.

7.  The song ring around the rosy was about the plague.

8.   The moat surrounded the castle and was formed from a dam blocking a river.

9.  You could be kicked out of the churches.

10. Serfs or peasants were basically farmers that didn't own the land they farmed.
